[He doesn't push. He simply watches intently, black brows low, then sits back with a nod. The goal is to make him feel safe, after all.]

[Loki laughs, and it's not a pretty sound.]

For the last few hours to have not occurred, if you can manage that.

From me, Loki. What do you need from me?

[complicatedliar]

[The problem is, he doesn't know. He wishes Gregor hadn't been here to see him so broken down. If he weren't so tired, he'd be angry about it.]

Don't tell anyone.

[vor]

I won't.

[complicatedliar]

[Loki relaxes slightly, nodding.]

Then that is all I need.

[vor]

[He nods.] If you decide to talk about it, you'll receive no judgment from me. I won't bring it up again until you do. My word on it.

[complicatedliar]

[Another humorless laugh.]

Ah yes, examining one's weaknesses in verbal detail. Not a game that sounds at all fun.

Believe it or not, it can help. Especially if it's about something that happened before. Traumatic memories are stored differently from normal ones, and talking about them, or even just writing about them, helps to store them properly.

[That actually brings him up a little short. He sits back, brows drawing together.

No. That's a bit too easy.

He stares at Gregor, expression unreadable.]

[With a flash of a smile, Gregor stands up and turns to go upstairs to his room.]

[complicatedliar]

[Loki lets him go without a word.

Eventually he falls into an exhausted sleep awkwardly draped over the arm of the couch, something he almost never does.]

[vor]

[When Gregor comes back down the stairs a few minutes later, he has Risk with him. Not wishing to disturb Loki, he simply goes into the kitchen to put together some tea.]

[complicatedliar]

[The sound of Gregor moving around wakes Loki up; he's too tightly wound for anything else.]

Enough hot water?

[vor]

Do you want tea?

[complicatedliar]

[Loki nods slowly and licks his lips, which are terribly dry.] Yes.

[vor]

[Quietly, he goes about pouring tea for both of them and carrying both mugs into the living room. One, he sets in front of Loki. He seats himself with the other.]

[complicatedliar]

[Loki picks up his tea cup and leans awkwardly against the arm of the chair, eyes half closed. He holds the cup rather than drinking immediately, simply warming his hands.]
