[He's taken on a tone that is actually quite casual, although it's hard to tell. It's the sort of train-of-thought way he would speak to Cordelia or Miles. Buffy does have that sort of personality, an almost inane, babbling quality some people consider madness hiding genius and others consider insecurity and others consider annoying and the wisest know it's all of the above.]
