At best I would compare the whole process to being much like falling into a dreamless sleep. Of course, somewhat more painful depending on how one dies. About a week passes before the dead person wakes up and it feels like only a short time went by.
The reactions to seeing a dead person walking around again are somewhat amusing, however.
